it’s true as odd as that sounds.
It’s the first of many, I hope.
I’d really call it a demo more than anything.
but I love putting out demos too.
let me know what you think if you can thank you.

What’s the kindest thing someone has ever done for you?
I received a donated heart.
I’d say that person signing up to be an organ donor was the kindest thing anyone has ever done for me. -

I wrote it from my couch — the same couch I landed on after the transplant, when I couldn’t go anywhere and had to figure out what the hell to do with the rest of my life. AI is part of how I found my way back. So I wrote the short, no-bullshit guide I wish somebody had handed me back then. For regular people. Not the tech crowd. Us.
It took me a few long mornings to take everything I already had and actually push it out the door. That part — the finishing — is the part I usually choke on.
Not today.I don’t know what happens next. Maybe nobody buys it, maybe ten people buy it, maybe more, maybe it just sits there. Doesn’t matter as much as finishing it.
I made a thing and I put it into the world, and I’m leaving this here so future me remembers the day I did it.We’re still here. Still human.

I never really know what to call it.
I don’t know anything about the donor. I don’t know who they were. But sometimes I put my hand on my chest and talk to it.
And somehow I’ve circled around to calling it you.
Because if I were standing in front of my donor, that’s what I would say.
You saved my life.
You keep me alive every single day. You keep me kind. You keep me grounded. You keep me hopeful. You’ve given me a different understanding of what living—and life—should be about.
You’ve given me more than anybody should ever have to give another person.
So thank you.
Maybe talking to a heart sounds crazy. I don’t know. Maybe I don’t care.
It’s Saturday morning, I’m sitting here thinking about it, and I wanted to write it down before I forgot.
Me and you.
We’re still here.
